IN A FEW WORDS...

JUDA - Judaism through the Arts - is a Jewish enrichment program for children which brings Judaism to life.

JUDA is a “workbook free zone.” Typical worksheet/workbook based lessons are replaced with engaging lessons that are creative and interactive.  Given its engaging environment, JUDA is suitable for ALL Jewish children – whether or not they already attend another Jewish educational program.

Our program is founded on the principle that, while Jews embrace many levels of observance in their personal lives, there should be a place for all Jews to develop a sense of community and engage in activities which will enhance their Jewish experience.
*Synagogue membership is not required.*

IN SOME MORE WORDS...

OUR STUDENTS:
JUDA caters to children from 5 and up and consists of classes grouped by age. ALL Jewish children are welcomed regardless of their affiliation and membership.

OUR CURRICULUM:
The core curriculum of JUDA consists of lessons focusing on festival preparation, Bible stories, Jewish observances, Jewish values, and life cycle events.

Aside from holiday awareness lessons before each Jewish festival, each age group focuses on an age appropriate topic each year. This is done in rotation so that the lessons remain exciting and relevant.

JUDA also will explore the Aleph Champ curriculum, a karate-inspired Hebrew reading system based on the principles that allows students to learn at their pace and to be motivated by their own successes.

OUR "NON-JUDGEMENTAL" POLICY:
At JUDA we believe that “a good choice is an educated choice.” We, therefore, aim to provide our students with the information and positive Jewish experiences to enable them to make good and informed choices - now and throughout their lives.

We are very aware that each child comes from a different background, and are sensitive to the fact that the level of commitment and observance differs in each home.

OUR SUPPLIES:
To achieve the best results, JUDA uses high end art supplies, and we conscious of the environment with all the materials purchased and used.

JUDA takes place every Wednesday afternoon while schools are in session.

JUDA Program: 3:45- 5:00 p.m.
